Customers are instructed to ensure that all cameras and/or recording equipment are removed from the vehicle prior to arrival. For items which are unable to be removed, the customer by signing this policy gives full expressed permission to allow the Technician to remove, cover and/or switch off any recording equipment before starting any works. The Customer accepts that cameras and other items left in the vehicle are at the owner’s risk and it is better that they are removed rather than them getting damaged or lost. Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy will not accept any liability for items lost or damaged due to failure to remove these items.
Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy does not deem it appropriate to allow our employees to be recorded without first obtaining their expressed written permission and allowing both the Employee in question and Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy access to the recordings.
Customer Statement
By agreeing to this policy, the customer acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for ensuring that in car cameras and/or recording devices are either removed or switched off before presenting the vehicle for repairs. Failure to do so, will result in Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy refusing to provide any prebooked repairs and/or maintenance until the matter is resolved. Should a working recording device be identified during any works being carried out, the works will be paused, and the Customer by signing this policy, will provide an unedited copy of the recording at the earliest opportunity and ensure that any recording is destroyed once it has been sent to the Data Protection Officer.
The Board of Directors will review this policy annually and at such other times as may be required, to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to the aims and objectives of our business.
