LEVEL 3 AWARD IN F-GAS AUTOMOTIVE REFRIGERANT HANDLING

The F-Gas Automotive Refrigerant Handling Course is designed for technicians who have minimal or no past experience of Air Conditioning systems and require Refrigerant Handling training and certification. After completion of this course you will be able to progress to complete Air Conditioning and Climate Control Maintenance and Advanced Diagnostics.

Once you have completed this 1-day course at our training centre, you will then be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the operation of A/C systems in Motor Vehicles.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the use and properties of the fluorinated greenhouse gases used as refrigerants in A/C systems in motors vehicles and the impact of the emission of these gases on the environment.

  • Summarise the relevant provisions of regulation (EC) 842/2006 and Directive 2006/40/EC.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of common procedures for recovering fluorinated greenhouse gases.

  • Handle a refrigerant cylinder.

  • Connect and disconnect a recovery set to and from the service ports of a motor vehicle A/C system containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.

  • Operate a recovery set.

 

Entry Requirements

In order to attend and complete this course, there are no formal entry requirements. But, it would be an advantage if the technician has a good understanding how air conditioning systems work.
