Starting Your Automotive Training Journey
For those entering the MOT industry, we offer LVI (if required) and MOT Tester Training, equipping you with the necessary skills and certifications to perform MOT testing. Both courses are completed on site in Burton - the LVI over 2 days and the MOT Tester Training over 4 days (whether you complete for Classes 1&2 or 4&7).
Our expert trainers ensure you understand the standards, procedures, and responsibilities required to carry out inspections accurately and professionally.
In order to attend and complete Light Vehicle Inspection Accreditation, you must be a skilled mechanic and have at least four years in full-time employment in the service and repair of the vehicle types to be tested and hold a full UK driving license.
Once you have this qualification, you will then be eligible to do the MOT Tester Training course and become a fully qualified MOT Tester. Alternatively, if you have a Level 3 qualification recognised by the DVSA along with four years experience then you can move straight to the Tester Training course.

If you’re an MOT Tester looking to take the next step or an MOT centre owner who wants to enhance your management capabilities, our Level 3 Award in MOT Centre Management is the perfect course.
This training covers essential aspects of running an MOT business effectively, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. It’s completed on site in Burton over 3 days and will give you everything that you need to know in order to successfully run and manage an MOT station day to day.
